Your Date will LOVE Candle Making Crafts

Craft Date That She will LOVE you for!

Okay so this is a little off my usual topic, but I think it's worth mentioning fun to do on a date, or after a date. My thinking is why not make it a bit easier and just do some fun crafts-with the added bonus that it's likely they haven't ever done it before, so it will be memorable.

So if this sounds like something you might like to do on a date keep reading, below I'll describe a very simple candle making project you can do with stuff you probably have laying around for the most part, and the best part is they will have something THEY created with you to take home and remind them of the fun date they had.

It really is a win-win for you and them, they get to try something new and fun, and you get to help make a memorable and fun date they will remember for quite some time. So enough talk, onward; take a look at the list below and make sure to have the supplies on hand.

1) An empty can-from say canned fruit or something, make sure to wash it out of course
2) Wick-this is the one you will probably have to drop by a crafts store and pick up, you can use other things such as strings, etc but they often don't work well at all. Best to grab the real thing.
3) Wax, now you can either pick some of this up at the crafts store or use Crayons-a decent sized box should do nicely.
4) Crayons-If using only crayons you are already covered. These are to mix with the other wax for color.
5) A sauce pan half full of water.

To start, heat the sauce pan half full of water up-not boiling, and place the empty can inside the water. Put the wax in the can-or break up the Crayons and drop them in. Heat until the wax is all melted.

Take a small piece of wick-about 4 inches, and slowly dip it into the melted wax; then slowly pull the wick back out and hold it until it cools. Repeat this process until the candle is as thick as you want.

If you haven't been using the Crayons for all the wax then you should melt some into the wax can now. Dip the candle a few times and twist the wick-so the candle spins a little as it comes out of the wax, this should make a swirl effect with the Crayon colors.

Whooohooo! A wonderful candle made on a date with someone that is hopefully having a great time doing these wonderful little candle making crafts. (And if you are having a good time with this one you better check out more candle making ideas right away!)

So what are you going to do with the candles now eh. Some people like to keep them in the bedroom, some people like to make candles as gifts, and some people even start their own businesses making candles and selling them.

Online, and offline it's only a matter of finding a market, candles will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Just imagine all the other things you can do together! More great ideas and crafts about candle making crafts

Candle Making - The Easy Way

The candle's primary purpose is to give light. But today, candles are used to accent romantic dinners, weddings, birthdays, holidays and also as home décor. At present candle making is enjoyed by many as a hobby. It is now evident that the wave of candle making grows to be more and more popular. Some people are hooked into candle craft for private use. Older children especially enjoy this activity enhancing their creative side. Candles are also very popular in parties given as tokens, making it a good opportunity for those who want to start a home base business.
Is candle making a difficult craft?
Surprisingly many people find it easy to do and the fulfillment you get from creating something personal is exceptionally rewarding. The tools and supplies that you need for candle making are widely available all through out the market. The materials such as the wax, molds and wicks can be bought from almost every craft stores. As the hobby reach it's fame the colors, decors, and the alluring scents for candle making can be easily purchased at any craft suppliers. Some materials required for candle making is found at home.
How candle making is done?
Primarily you need to prepare the most important material- the wax . With the aid of a double boiler your wax is melted. The double boiler is filled with water and is heated over a stove top. Inside the large pot another smaller pot sits containing the un-melted wax. As you boil the water the wax inside the smaller pot melts without burning. Now to set up the wick... Place the wick at the center of the mold and then pour the melted wax over. Let it stand for about 4-6 hours to allow cooling before taking the candle out of the mold. Another way to do this is with the help of a fridge. Place the whole thing inside the freezer for about half an hour this makes it easier to take the candle off of the mold. You may also want to try to lubricate the mold with a non-stick cooking oil before pouring the wax in to effortlessly remove your candle in the mold.
There are lots of ways to create different types and styles of candles at your very own home.
Let your imagination and creativity do the works, you decide which color you like, the fragrance you prefer and the decors you envision. Some candle enthusiasts make their own mold through the use of a material called liquid latex. The reason being is that latex is a very flexible material making it possible to create various shapes and sizes. But the thing is that they are too flexible to set into position. To solve the problem you will need to cut a hole in a cardboard big enough for your mold/s but small enough that the rubber lip at the bottom of the mold can be taped to the box to hold. You are now able to pour in the wax on the molds bottom with the cardboard giving a support.
Candle making is so simple.
You can even turn it into a business just like others have done. How do they do this is with a strategy to win. These entrepreneurs order their supplies by bulk, taking advantage of the big price discount through bulk orders. Packaging is a big factor when selling a product, make yours very attractive. Because this greatly influences the consumer's buying behavior. With some little creativity, imagination and passion for candle making you can make great money with this fun hobby.

Candle Making Molds

When it comes to candle making, there are a variety of molds available in the market which can be used to make candles at home. As more and more people are trying their hand at candle making, the manufacturers are flooding the market with new styles and types of candle making molds.

A candle mold can be defined as the vessel in which the wax is poured to cool. After cooling, the wax gets molded to the shape of the mold. These days there are different varieties in terms of shapes, styles and sizes of candle making molds. Some candle makers like aluminum molds since they give the candle a smooth finish besides being heat resistant and durable. Hence, the candles get a professional kind of finish. These are generally employed in the making of pillar and votive candles. Moreover, they are cheaper than the rubber molds. Another advantage of aluminum molds is that they can be easily cleaned by just putting them upside down on a baking sheet and heating them in the oven. The residual wax will melt and flow out of the mold. Make sure your baking sheet has a lining. The drawback of aluminum molds is that besides requiring a release agent to release the candle from the mold, they are not flexible hence not available in too many shapes and sizes.
Other molds made from rubber like latex, silicone and polyurethane are quite flexible. The stretch ability of polyurethane mold is not much despite their flexibility. Moreover, though they are cheaper, they also need a releasing agent and have a strong odor which can be picked up by your candle. These molds are used for pillar and taper candles. Silicone molds are expensive but have great characteristics. These include a great stretch ability, no residual parting lines and don't need a release agent. With the advent of new kinds of rubber molds, latex molds are not as popular as before. However, if you want some home make molds, then all you need to do is to paint liquid latex on the structure you want to make a mold of. With numerous coats of latex, you can get a mold of your choice.
Though they are the least expensive, plastic molds are brittle and hence don't last long like the other molds. However, they are more manageable and can be cleaned easily with some warm soapy water. A precaution here that needs to be observed is that make sure your mold is totally dry else you may get bubbles in your candles. These molds are great for newbies but for people who want to turn their hobby into a business, you need different and better molds.

Goal Focused - Home Business

Goal Focused On many a night, you vow to yourself you will exercise in the morning, eat healthier foods the next day, and/or not have that alcoholic beverage when you get home from work. It is now morning, your alarm clock sounds and you decide to hit the snooze button six times making you rush to get to work on time, eat a pap tart for breakfast, and open a bottle of wine right after walking into your home at night. Here are some suggestions that can help you make the changes in your life that you truly feel you want, are willing to apply some personal effort, and dedicate some real time to reach your goals. Suggestion 1 - Set positive goals. You don't have to see the world in a positive Pollyannaish light all of the time, but you are advised to structure your goals as to what you are going to do and not what you are not going to do anymore. Human brains are wired to accomplish tasks, thus setting a course of what you are going to do is much easier to achieve than figuring out your next stop when you are attempting to not do something. You are far more likely to be successful in reaching the goal of making three new outreach phone calls one day rather than setting a goal of not surfing the internet on a particular day. Suggestion 2 - Spend five minutes each day visualizing in your mind

WANNA BE'S AND ENTREPRENEURS

Wanna-be's obsess about ideas. Entrepreneurs obsess about implementation. * Wanna-be's want more web traffic. Entrepreneurs focus on sales conversion. * Wanna-be's focus on positive thinking. Entrepreneurs plan for multiple contingencies. * Wanna-be's want to get on TV and get "famous." Entrepreneurs build their businesses and their list. * Wanna-be's seek a perfect plan and wait for the perfect time. Entrepreneurs execute and take action when they see an opportunity. * Wanna-be's wait for their lucky break. Entrepreneurs take responsibility and create their OWN circumstances. * Wanna-be's fear looking stupid in front of their friends. Entrepreneurs willingly risk making fools of themselves, knowing that long-term success is a good trade for short-term loss of image. * Wanna-be's shield their precious ideas from harsh reality, postponing the verdict of success or failure until 'someday.' Entrepreneurs expose their ideas to cold reality as soon as reasonably possible. * Wanna-be's put off practicing basketball until they've got Air Jordan's. Entrepreneurs practice barefoot behind the garage. * Wanna-be's believe what they're told. Entrepreneurs do original research and make their own decisions. * Wanna-be's believe they can do anything. Entrepreneurs use systems and technology to solve the variables that most people struggle with. * Wanna-be's think about the world in terms of COULD and SHOULD. Entrepreneurs think in terms of IS and CAN BE.
You can have it all if you really believe you can. Figure out who you are, what you want, and stop settling for less!

Make Money Online Strategy

The internet offers many business opportunities to make money online. This diversity, for most beginners, is the problem. Too many online business models to choose, and they don't know how to do it or where to start.

Here are 5 essential aspects to consider before you begin.

Having The Right Mindset From The Beginning

No one gets it right on the first try. Learn from mistake and make sure you get up and fight again. In other words, if you want to make money online, you must invest time into your education, trial and error. Most important of all, you must be able to visualize yourself as a success and go all the way.

Another aspect to having the right mindset is a graduated steps approach to your progress. You do this by learning to set smaller, more realistic goals for yourself.

Having The Solid Business Plans

No matter which online business opportunity you choose, you need to have a business plan, and treat your online business as a real business. You need to clear on your target and on your strategy. Where you are going, how you will get there, and how long it should take you.

These are important things to consider if you want to make money online: Who your target audience is, how to reach them, and what types of offers your audience responds to. You need to have a detailed blueprint which guides you to make money online from point A to point Z.

Mastery The Fundamentals

While the emerging trends in your target market may change, the fundamentals never do. In order to make money online, you have to master the fundamentals of internet marketing practices, like: niche market research, how to select a good keyword, how to set up a website, how to build list, how to write pre-sell and sales letter - will always be a necessary part of your skill set.

Concentrate On Just One Proven Business Model

Choose a niche that you are going to focus all your efforts on it. Make sure the people in this niche spend money and has a desperate problem that needs a solution. Do whatever it takes to be an expert in that niche. This way, it allows you to learn and master one business model completely.

Marketing

Online marketing is a form of communication. Article marketing, ads, copy writing, newsletter, whatever. So you have to learn how to write well. If you can not write and can not communicate effectively, your chances to make money online is greatly diminished.

Use as many ways of advertising as you can afford. Focus your efforts more on list building. When you've reached the level where you have a fairly large list, you can begin to approach joint venture with big names.

Last but not least, it is important that you build up your visibility and brand awareness overtime. People trust that kind of longevity, and you'll earn name recognition.

Self Development - Action Is Necessary!

If you are reading this, I am going to hope it is because you either are not one of the following, or that you are and realize you need to change. I am going to hope that you are not a tire kicker, a procrastinator or just lazy, because if you are any of these things, chances are you are going to be in the 97% of entrepreneurs who fail. It's true, now if you were looking for an apology, just exit the page, you should be apologizing to yourself if anything.

You are making your home business suffer because you do not want to take action, you could possibly be looking at your home business, and not realizing the best thing to ever happen to you. The chance to actually gain some free time, and climb out of debt.

If you are lazy, or a procrastinator, being an entrepreneur is not for you, you must know that you are willing to do the hard work it takes in home business and that when you start you will not be at the top. But then you can also enjoy the greater rewards that you get. Being able to work from anywhere you want and at anytime you want. You know all of those royal heirs and heiresses? How fame and money will fall into their laps? That is NOT you, you need to take action, in order to achieve the results you desire. Consistent, focused action, in order to see the results you want. You do not go into your day job, work for only Monday and expect to be paid for the whole week do you?

There are so many people that I see on forums related to internet marketing, that have said they have been looking into doing online marketing for over 5 years, that is just plain CRAZY. If they had of taken action those 5 years ago, they would be leaps and bounds ahead of where they are now. I cannot stress this enough, even if you are still new to the online world of marketing, at least set up a blog. Your blog can be the center point of all of your business and personal development. Remember, that in order for your income to grow, you must grow as a person.

Honestly, if you do not respect yourself enough, to work hard at this amazing opportunity you have to work from home, you do not deserve it. Remember this quote "You cannot get to the top by sitting on your bottom." Now if you do not have a blog, or centre point for all of your work, you should create one, it is well worth it.
